Vista is located in north San Diego County, seven miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Vista is home to Alta Vista Gardens, a Botanical Garden located in the center of Brengle Terrace Park. Besides the Brengle Terrace Park, there is also the Guajome County Park which sits on 557 acres of land. It features campsites, horse trails and the Rancho Guajome Adobe. Much of Vista consists of open land, especially in the north where these parks are located. Vista also has more than 25 educational institutions and a business park home to over 800 companies.
